Hey Reader,
This past week wasn’t about moving faster for me.
It was about choosing more deliberately.
I had a lot of irons in the fire...all of them asking for my attention at once.
I’ve found that late January has a way of revealing what actually deserves our energy — not in theory, but in practice.
ere are three things that helped me stay clear, grounded, and moving without forcing momentum.
1. A question that keeps changing my decisions
(The KEEP Framework — in case you missed it)
Earlier this week, I shared a simple tool I’ve been using to make cleaner decisions — not just about projects, but about identity, roles, and direction.
It starts with one question:
What still earns its place?
The KEEP Framework isn’t about decluttering or organizing.
It’s about deciding:
- what still matters
- what still moves something forward
- what’s quietly finished, even if it once meant a lot
If you didn’t catch it, you can download it here:

I keep coming back to one line from the framework:
Don’t confuse sentiment with strategy.
That sentence alone has saved me from carrying things that don’t belong to this next chapter.
2. The late-January moment most people misread
(Why I’m hosting a workshop next week)
By now, the adrenaline of the new year has usually worn off.
The fantasy version of January dissolves.
And people tend to do one of two things:
- push harder on a plan that doesn’t quite fit
- or drift, hoping clarity will magically arrive
Neither works.
This is the moment where motivation isn’t the issue.
Discernment is.
That’s why I’m hosting a live workshop next Thursday called The January Inflection Point.
It’s not about setting goals.
It’s about choosing — clearly and honestly —
what actually deserves your attention next, and at what rhythm.
I’ll share more details below.
If late January has felt oddly heavy, confusing, or quietly revealing…
you’re not behind.
You’re right on time.

3. One thing I’m practicing instead of “figuring it all out”
(A small shift that changed my energy this week)
Rather than trying to decide everything at once, I’ve been asking myself one simple question at the start of the day:
What deserves care today — not urgency?
Not:
- What will make me feel productive?
- What will impress someone?
- What should I already have figured out?
Just:
- What actually deserves my attention today?
Some days the answer is work.
Some days it’s rest.
Some days it’s clearing something that’s been hanging around too long.
This question pairs beautifully with the KEEP Framework
and it’s been a steady reminder that momentum doesn’t come from pressure.
It comes from alignment.
A Final Thought
If you’re feeling behind this late January, you don’t have to restart the year.
You get to choose how you want to continue.
What stays.
What pauses.
What you stop carrying.
And what you’re finally ready to move forward with — on purpose.
More soon,
Until next then,
Padam, Padam.
